DANGEROUS DRIVING

From the creative talent behind the genre-defining Burnout series, Arcade Racing game Dangerous Driving puts aggression back into the racing genre, recapturing the spirit of the past and taking it to a new place.

We started our own studio in 2014 and we have been working towards creating this new Arcade Racing game Dangerous Driving ever since.

If you’ve read our Blog series ‘My life in arcade driving games’ you’ll get a sense of the passion we have for Arcade Racing Games. And there have been too few of them of late. We hear from players all the time who grew up playing some of the games we previously created and who forged closer relationships with their loved ones over long game sessions.

This is a game about real driving. The sort of driving you’d do if no one else was looking. The sort of driving you’d love to do if only everyone else would just get out of the DAMN way!

This game gives you the chance to do that. To floor it in everyday cars, at high speeds, weaving in and out of traffic and slamming the other cars right off the road.  This is a game built in the spirit of the classic arcade racing games of the 80’s and 90’ from teams like Sega’s AM2, Namco and Taito. It’s about speed, driving skill and beautiful powerslides around epic corners. It’s also about all out aggression, instant retaliation and sweet, sweet revenge.

The widest range of game modes seen in this genre!

9 different single player game modes all tied together in a 69 event single player progression. Races where Takedowns are what fuel your speed; Eliminator races where you literally fight to survive over 5 laps, with the last place being eliminated each lap; 1 on 1 Face Offs where the other guy is in a faster car and the only way to win is to take him down repeatedly; Pursuit where you play as the cops; Survival where its survive against the clock and the traffic (one crash and its game over) and genre favourite Road Rage is back! And now you can also take the fight online in a race against 5 other players.

The more dangerously you drive, the faster you can go.

As any good Arcade Racing game should, Dangerous Driving offers up a great variety of roads to test out those twitch reflexes – over 270 miles  spread across 31 courses – all set in 7 North American National Park inspired locations including Canyons, Deserts, snowy Mountains, Lakes and more.

There are 26 vehicles to unlock with over 400 combinations of car/colour/livery, spread across six car classes – Sedan, SUV, Coupe, Supercar, Hypercar and Formula DD.
